Richard J. Lemoine is originally from Cottonport in Avoyelles Parish, LA, now resides on Poverty Point Lake in Delhi, LA and has lived in Northeast LA for over 30 years. He graduated from LSU (Geaux Tigers!!) in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Forestry and Wildlife Management. He has worked 30 years in the timber business with vast experience both as a large company Forester, a timber company owner and forest consultant.

Richard is Associate Broker at Brown Realty Co. of Rayville, Inc., (the only token Cajun), and has been with the firm since March of 2001. He still does timber work when it’s not too hot. He does timber management for a select group of clients; helping in marketing timber and specializing in wildlife habitat improvement cuts.

He is also an avid hunter and fisherman, loves living on Poverty Point Lake and wishes he had more time to fish. A voracious reader, Richard delves into differing styles from Larry McMurtry (Lonesome Dove), to John Grisham (Sycamore Row), to war and espionage works by the late Vince Flynn.

This coming January, Richard will celebrate his 22nd wedding anniversary with Patsy and says it doesn’t feel a day over 50 years. (That’s a big joke around the house.)

He has been a Papaw for about 18 years as 3 of his 5 sons have blessed him with 2 sweet grand-daughters and 7 grand-sons. The grandkids include one in La. Tech and one in PK3.Things get busy around the house on many weekends and especially holidays. We have taught and are in the process of teaching them all the secrets of successful fishing.

Contact Richard Lemoine for all your farm and recreational needs. He has been able, over the years, to successfully link clients to that special place, whether a special home place, that honey hole of a deer hunting tract or that farm that has proven to be a profitable investment. The proof of his success over the last 12 plus years is in the amount of return business he gets.

Richard invites you to join this growing list of happy clients!

“Good Hope Land and Timber Management of Natchez has been in the business of buying and selling timber and timber land along the Mississippi River from Memphis to St. Martinville.   I have worked with Brown Realty and specifically with Richard Lemoine and Mike Watson, they are professionals that know the lay of the land. They understand values and the issues that ownership requires;  not only for a recreation purchase, but for a timber purchase or an agriculture purpose.  They have a proven track record and when you are spending your hard earned money you need informed professionals.  They certainly qualify by any standard.”
